Slope Resources is located in the New York City metropolitan area, and provides services to organizations in the Northeast and beyond.

Joe BrownJoe Brown, Slope Resources’ Founder and Principal, possesses 20 years of management consulting experience.

Prior to founding Slope Resources in 1998, Joe spent nine years with the Metro New York office of the Hay Group, an international management consulting firm, focused primarily on providing compensation and other human resources consulting services to organizations in numerous industry sectors. During this tenure, he accumulated broad experience in work measurement, compensation (including base salary as well as cash, non-cash, short- and long-term incentives), performance management, employee opinion research, work culture diagnosis and change, and internal/external customer satisfaction research. He also helped develop a number of innovative information- and technology-based client solutions and product offerings.

While with the Hay Group, Joe worked with nonprofit organizations including the American Museum of Natural History, CARE, Ford Foundation, Girl Scouts of the USA, and HELP. In other industry sectors, he assisted organizations including American Express, AT&T, CapitalOne, Chicago Board of Education, CitiBank, Dun & Bradstreet, Jaguar Cars, Kodak, MetLife, New York City Transit Authority, and Standard & Poor’s.

Over the course of his career, Joe has developed particular expertise in the identification of information-based approaches to client needs in human resources and other areas. He has conceived, designed, and developed creative and effective solutions ranging from simple yet illuminating analyses to complex processing and production systems.

Earlier in his career, Joe worked as a human resources analyst for the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation and held positions in advertising print production and account management.

Joe attended the University of Chicago and New York Institute of Technology, and is a member of the Alliance for Nonprofit Management, the Society for Human Resource Management, and World at Work. He also provides pro bono consulting services as a volunteer with the Taproot Foundation.

Joe is an avid scuba diver and instructor, as well as a certified first aid and CPR instructor. He resides in Rahway, New Jersey.
